Is Your Heart Troubled?

Most of us never stop to actually hear these words when we read them. Do we know what this means to us, as children of God?

Paul wrote these words emphasizing how important they were and are today. He tells us that faith, hope, and charity of qualities we need, but he takes it a step further and breaks out chairity as being the greatest. You see chairity is love. Love tops everything.

We may wonder why he says love is the greatest. Think about it. God is love. Everything he did from creation of the world, sending Christ, the Cross, forgiveness and eternal life is all about His love for us.

It needs to be in the center of our hearts. Love conquers all. Hate destroys, Love saves. When you can feel the love in your heart from God, then you understand why you can love others.

Lord, Bless your Holy name. It is hard for us to wrap our minds around how much you love us. Help us to recognize, it is our hearts we need to wrap around your love so we can pass that love to others, who like us need you to love us each day even though we are not perfect yet. In Jesus name. Amen

Nations Made From One Man

“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands.  And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. Acts 17:24-27 (NIV)

Nations Made From One Man

We cannot do anything for God, since God provides all things TO US. He has no need of anything from us. He gives us everything, including our life and breath.  Obviously God is our source and provides every need.

Lord, you made from one man every nation of mankind, determining their appointed time, and the boundaries of their habitation. Your goal was for them to seek you, although you are never far from them. You are always right there. Give us the wisdom we need to grow closer to you each day, seeking your face, and your directions for the path you have for us to walk. In
Jesus name, Amen.
