KNOW FULLY WHAT GOD WANTS

God's Prayer Power ~ Session 22

Scri
pture today: Colossians 1:9-14

"Since the day we heard this about you, we have continued praying for you. We ask God that you will know fully what God wants. We pray that you will also have great wisdom and understanding in spiritual things. Then you will live the kind of life that honors and pleases the Lord in every way. You will produce fruit in every good work and grow in the knowledge of God. Then God will strengthen you with his own great power. And you will not give up when troubles come, but you will be patient. Then you will joyfully give thanks to the Father. He has made you able to have all that he has prepared for his people who live in the light. God made us free from the power of darkness, and he brought us into the kingdom of his dear Son. The Son paid for our sins, and in him we have forgiveness." (
ICB)

What is God saying?

God wants His children to have great wisdom and understanding in spiritual things throughout our lives here on earth because He know we need this in order to live the life He wants for us. There is much chaos in this world, and if we don't have wisdom and knowledge of our precious Lord, we can get side tracked, tricked, manipulated, and be harmed.

Why does He want us to have this?

So we will live the kind of life that honors Him and pleases Him in every way. Also, we will produce fruit in every good work we undertake and grow in Him.

What does God give us?

God will strengthen us with his own great power. And we will not give up when troubles come, but we will be patient. Then we will joyfully give thanks to the Father.

God's Gifts!

He has made us able to have all that he has prepared for his people who live in the light. God made us free from the power of darkness, and he brought us into the kingdom of his dear Son. The Son paid for our sins, and in him we have forgiveness.

Prayer

My desire Lord is for me and my family to be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. I desire to walk worthy of You, to please You, and to be fruitful in every good work.

I seek to increase in the knowledge of You and be strengthened with all might according to Your glorious power. I strive to be patient and long-suffering with joyfulness giving thanks to You who has made us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints –– You who delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of Your dear Son in whom we have redemption through His blood even to the forgiveness of sins. Amen

May God bless you in the coming week.

Blessings to you and your family.

GOD WILL TAKE YOUR BURDENS

God's Prayer Power ~ Session 21

Scripture today is: 2 Peter 5:7

"Give all your worries to him, because he cares for you." (ICB)

What is God saying?

God wants you to give Him all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, everything that is causing you to not be in peace. And He wants you to give them all to Him now.

Everytime something comes up that tries to make you anxious or worried, just say no. Say, "I refuse to take that upon my self. I cast that now over on God trusting Him to handle it."

It is important to God for His children to trust in Him to help them as they walk this journey. He does not want us to worry but to be in peace.

Prayer

All good things come from You Lord. I know this deep in my heart. Yet there are times I allow my burdens to become so heavy that the weight is debilitating. I have tried to carry them when I forget Your words. Then You bring to my remembrance Your words that tell me to cast my burdens on You. Put them in Your hands. You will take them and then my load will be light. Thank You for taking these burdens and freeing me to think on You and not them. Amen

May God bless you in the coming week.

Blessings to you and your family.

EXPERIENCE HIS LOVE

God's Prayer Power ~ Session 20

Our scripture today is: Ephesians 3:16-21

"I ask the Father in his great glory to give you the power to be strong in spirit. He will give you that strength through his Spirit. I pray that Christ will live in your hearts because of your faith. I pray that your life will be strong in love and be built on love. And I pray that you and all God’s holy people will have the power to understand the greatness of Christ’s love. I pray that you can understand how wide and how long and how high and how deep that love is. Christ’s love is greater than any person can ever know. But I pray that you will be able to know that love. Then you can be filled with the fullness of God. With God’s power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or think of. To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus for all time, forever and ever." Amen.

What is God saying to us in our scripture today?

God will give you that strength through His Spirit. What strength? To be strong in spirit. If you read this scripture written by Paul, He is telling them He is asking the Father to give them, the people, the power to be strong in spirit. He goes on to say. . .God will give this strength through His Spirit. The Holy Spirit.

Who needs to live in our hearts?

We are to let Christ live in our hearts.

How do we do that?

We do that by our faith.

More than ever, today, we need our lives to be strong in love and to be built on love. Let us ask God to give us the power to understand the greatness of Christ's love for us and how much he truly loves us. To know how much he loves us takes us to depths we have not been. To fully grasp this love so we can be filled with the fullness of God. We need God's power working in us. We cannot comprehend how much more God can do in our lives and for us unless we have the power of God working in us.

Read the scripture this week, mediating on what you hear God saying to you. Write the words down what God is saying to you.

Prayer

I come before Your throne of grace with praise and thanksgiving for all You have done for me. I bring my desires to You requesting You grant me blessings and answers according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. I ask to be strengthened with might by Your Spirit in my inner man. I ask that Christ dwell in my heart by faith all the days of my life and that I be rooted and grounded in love. Let me comprehend and know how much You love me. I pray You might fill me with all the fulness of God. Do not let me become slack, or take for granted how much You love me. Amen

God Bless You and Your Family.

THE LORD GIVES US A GIFT

God's Prayer Power ~ Session 19

Our scripture today is: John 14:27

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart! And the peace I give isn’t fragile like the peace the world gives. So don’t be troubled or afraid". John 14:27 (TLB)

What is God saying to us?

He is telling us He is leaving with us a gift. Leaving denotes He is going away and so because He is, He is giving us a gift that will be ours to keep.

What is the gift He is leaving with us?

He is giving us the gift of peace of mind and heart. In other words,  He is giving us a tranquil and calmness that comes from Him. The opposite of what the world gives. Imagine, that your gift, regardless of what goes on in this world, can keep you with a peaceful heart and mind. You see this inner peace that He gives can keep us mentally and spiritually at peace––calmness that flows throughout our inner being.

He tells us that His gift, peace, is not fragile like the worlds. So accept His peace and stay in calmness and peace.

Regardless of what stress there is in the world or what goes on, this peace, if we allow it, if we draw upon it, will keep us peaceful. Because we know that God is in untilmate control, wants our best, gave us His best, His Son, and His Son gave us His peace. What a wonderful present.

What does he tell us not to do?

Do not be troubled or afraid..  John 14:1 says,  “Let not your hearts be troubled. But believe and trust in God”  God does not want us to be stressed and anxiious in our hearts, He wants us to trust and believe in Him.

Read the scripture this week, mediating on what you hear God saying to you. Write the words down what God is saying to you.

Prayer

Thank You, God, for giving me Your peace.

Help me to remember not look to the world to find my peace.

Let not my heart be troubled or be afraid.

I will not allow my peace to be disturbed by becoming agitated or fearful.

Help me be diligent to not allow anyone or  circumstance to intimidate

or unsettle me  causing any doubt in my heart.

I will keep Your peace You have given me.

GOD TELLS US HOW TO BE BLESSED

God's Prayer Power ~ Session 18

Our scripture today is Deuteronomy 28:1-2 (KJV)

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.” Deuteronomy 28:1-2 (KJV)

What is God saying to us?

When we see the words, “shall come to pass” that means it will occur––in other words come about. It is going to happen. We can count on it.

God says to us, “It will come to pass (come about) if you hearken (listen) diligently (conscientious) unto the voice of the Lord thy God. We must make an effort to listen to God, if we do, we will hear His voice.

Whose voice are we supposed to listen to? The Lord our God.

And what are we supposed to do when we listen to the Lord’s voice? Observe His commandments and do all of them, which He commands us to do, each day. Why does He tell us to do this? So, He can bless us. In obeying Him He will set us on high above all nations of the earth and all His blessings will come upon us and overtake us. And what do we have to do? Obey Him.

How grateful we should be that God loves us so much He spends the time telling us how we can be blessed by Him.

There are two roads here. One is a road of blessings and one is a road of non-blessings.

We must ask ourselves, which road would we rather take? We can be joyful and blessed going down one road or we can be miserable and be in lack going down the other road.

Everything in life, requires effort, it is up to us to choose which road we want. It should be a no-brainer! Choose God’s way and live with blessings going out and coming in.

Read the scripture this week and mediate on what God is saying to you.
